BENEFITS OF JOINING
THE WILDLIFE ART SOCIETY OF AUSTRALASIA

A varied program of interesting lectures, demonstrations and discussions is arranged for our regular meetings and visitors are welcome. New members and visitors are asked to introduce themselves at the beginning of the evening.

Members of the Society meet on the 2nd. Tuesday of March, May, July, September and November at 8pm at the Balwyn Library, 336 Whitehorse Rd Balwyn. Members are encouraged to bring their work to the meetings. Advice and encouragement from experienced artists is freely available and members are encouraged to share their experiences and achievements.

Occasional workshop days or weekends are arranged with experienced artists in charge. These offer practical guidance to all members who wish to gain further knowledge, skill and experience in their art. They have been most rewarding to many members in the past. Members are offered enrolment at a discounted price.

All members receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter and are encouraged to submit items of interest. Members also receive "The Warble" - our e newsletter which serves as a reminder of events and more.

Members are encouraged to submit work into our exhibitions and are eligible to win the annual Wildlife Artist of the Year award cash prize and trophy.

• THE WILD AWARDS, our major prestigious bi-annual award exhibition, currently held in Melbourne, Victoria. The 2012 prizes will be cash and art supplies.
• MELBOURNE INTL. FLOWER AND GARDEN SHOW. WASA exhibits with other art societies at this world class event.
• On the opposite year to the Wild Awards, an exhibition at a premium venue.
• We strive to hold at least one other exhibition each year depending on gallery availability and other factors.
